John E. Skirtich, age 74, of Columbus, handed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. He was born April 2, 1948 in Canton, Ohio, son of the late Daniel and Marie (Cincinat) Skirtich. A faithful husband, father, grandfather and brother, John will likely be sorely missed by his spouse of 52 years, Kathy Skirtich; kids, Whitney (Joey) Barnard, Tyler (Maggie) Skirtich and Wyatt (Kirsten) Skirtich; beloved grandchildren, Rowan, Ender and Griffin; sisters, Alyce (Ken) Stults and Grace (Nick) Margaritakis; brothers, Joe (Dorene) Skirtich and Dan Skirtich; quite a few nieces and nephews; different family members and plenty of pals. John obtained a Bachelor’s Diploma in Enterprise Administration from Capital College. He started his profession as a tax accountant with Columbia Gasoline in 1970 and served in lots of roles through the years. Whereas there, he served on the CoreOne Credit score Union board. John was a trustworthy member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church the place he was energetic with the RCIA. Throughout their highschool years, John served on the Bishop Hartley faculty board, usually volunteered as a bingo caller and attended all his kids’s sporting occasions. He retired as a regulatory guide after 46 years of service with Columbia (NiSource). John at all times had a candy tooth and beloved a superb snack; he’d allow you to eat off his plate although he rolled his eyes each time; he beloved a quick, pink, sports activities automobile, and was an enthusiastic Ohio State fan. However most of all, John valued the significance of monetary safety and passionately taught his kids about taxes, retirement and saving for the long run.
